Douglas Moodie was an actor and BBC announcer.

Moodie was a young actor, much in demand to play romantic roles in radio plays.

He began as a part-time announcer at Glasgow, but in 1933(?) he was appointed to full-time announcer in Edinburgh, which he tried on a temporary basis.

He later became a highly successful producer.
