BBC Scotland TV news programmes
Was simply called Scottish News until 1963, with an occasional 15-minute magazine programme In and About Scotland.
From 21 January 1963 the programme was titled Scotland at Six. Its first 'compare' was Paisley-born actor Robert Love, a Glasgow University English literature graduate who later became head of publicity at the Nottingham Playhouse, drama co-ordinator at ABC Television in London (1965) and head of drama at STV in the 1980s.
Reflecting a change in the time slot for the BBC's regional news programmes, it was renamed "Six-Ten" from 30 September that same year.
